Bulawayo Council guard assaulted by three men dog meat selling syndicate-‘Mugabe Zanu pf Look East policy’
A Bulawayo Council guard was severely assaulted by a three men dog meat selling syndicate at the Bulawayo City council Westondale Dump site near the national Railways of Zimbabwe steam shed.
The men used shovels and beat the council guard, Andrew Nkala unconscious before disappearing into the night. Andrew had challenged the three when they tried to enter the dump site to dig up dog carcasses for resale to local residents mainly in the Mpopoma and Sizinda areas.
Andrew was rushed to Mpilo central hospital with a broken leg.
It is feared that this attack is likely proof of a ‘dog meat’ syndicate as earlier this week, a homeless man Mr Ndebele was arrested for removing carcasses, and selling dog meat to locals in what is said to have been brisk business sales for him. I recommend, stop buying meat from the street and eating takeouts till the syndicate is crushed by authorities as its clear, there are more people involved and the distribution is wider than initially suspected.
